Coshocton - Maxine Addelyn (Cheney/Patterson) Miller, age 94 formerly of Coshocton, Ohio went home to meet her Savior on Sunday January 14, 2018 at Walnut Hills Nursing Home of Walnut Creek, Ohio where she had been a resident for several years.

Maxine was born on July 11, 1923 in Coshocton County, Ohio to Floyd and Gladys (Price) Cheney. She graduated from Roscoe High School in the class of 1941. She worked at Edmonts in the lab for 11 years where she met Thomas Noel Patterson, son of Angus & Cora Patterson. They were married on October 18, 1952. She loved music and played the guitar and harmonica. Tom & Maxine enjoyed square dancing and were members of a western square dancing group. Maxine also enjoyed camping, gardening, sled riding and feeding the birds. She loved animals and in her lifetime had many favorite pets. Along with her mother, and mother-in-law she found great joy in growing lilacs. She was also passionate about cooking and baking. In later years after her children were out of school, she worked as a Nurse's Aide at Coshocton Memorial Hospital and was there for 7 years. She was a member of Keene United Methodist church, Keene Hill Grange, Farm Bureau Council-Millcreek, Millvale Neighbors-Chapel Belles and Indiana Historical Radio Society. Tom passed away on March 3, 1990 and on September 23, 1995 she married Robert (Bob) F. Miller who preceeded her in death on September 4, 2010. Maxine was a thyroid cancer survivor.

Surviving are three children: Mary F. Patterson of Coshocton, Susan E. (Bryan) Forbes of West Salem and Michael T. (Sandy King) Patterson of Millersburg. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Thomas W. Patterson, Amy E. Forbes, Joshua E. Forbes, Rebekah E. Forbes and Bethany E. Forbes.
