Debra Beamer Obituary

Debra Lou Pahoundis Beamer, age 65, of Coshocton passed away at Southeastern Ohio Medical Center Emergency Department on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Debbie was born in Akron, Ohio on March 16, 1958 to the late John Daniel Pahoundis, Sr. and Betty Lou Lane Pahoundis.  She moved to Coshocton from Pearl, Ohio in 2004. After graduating from Ridgewood High School in 1977, she attended Zane State and earned an associate degree in gerontology at Franklin University.  She was a cosmetics beauty adviser at Elder-beerman. She had also worked in the activities department at Baltic Country Manor nursing home and The Vision Center in Columbus. She loved animals and helped care for the horses on the family’s thoroughbred horse farm. Debbie’s favorite pastimes were breeding Shih-Tzu and caring for Sheba, Sara, Peanut and Baby, sewing, spending time with family, and listening to music.

Debbie is survived by her step-sons Lennie Beamer Bigler and Terry Beamer Bigler, brothers John D. (Jacinda) Pahoundis II of Conesville,  James and Joseph Pahoundis, Sr. of Walhonding,  Julius of Zanesville, and sisters  Cynthia (Frederick) Rodgers of Dresden, Mary (Jeff) Laird and Teresa (Kelly) Barker of Utah, sister-in-law Cari Cook Pahoundis of Grove City;  Her aunts Grace E. Peel of Utah, Nellie Marie (Wendell) Archer of Nashville, TN; Carol Sue Brown and uncles “Wimpy” Vinson of Akron, Raymond Odell Lane of Zanesville, Herbert Lane of Coshocton; her nephews/nieces  John “Daniel” Pahoundis II , Jocaesta, Julianna, Jarrett, Joseph, Jr.,  Jaydee Pahoundis; Michael Starner and Andy Parks of Coshocton County; Jeffrey Dee Pahoundis Jr. of Ravenna; Avery Baughman Pahoundis of Utica; Stephanie Rodgers of Brooklyn, NY, Emily and Samantha Rodgers of Columbus; Tyler, Brian and Derek Anderson, Tyson and Desiree Barker of Utah, Brett Meckley of Indiana and Chance (Kristen) Meckley of Coshocton; Carolyn Garrison of Alliance;  Betty Lou Cook Pahoundis of Grove City, great nieces/nephews Haley and Paitin Pahoundis, Eleanor and Sabastian Meckley of Coshocton,  and other relatives/friends including Stephen Jebb McKee, Herbie Dale Turner, Christina Howell and Zane Turner of Coshocton , Janet Kreis Pahoundis, Danny L. Gross, Dr. R. Dale Smith, Ronnie Careins, Charlie Smith, Bob and Christine Wright.


Along with her husband Leonard L. Beamer and parents, Debbie is preceded in death by her youngest sister Elizabeth Joanne Meckley, brothers Jerry and Jeffrey D. Pahoundis, Sr. and great-nephew Daniel Ray Pahoundis and friend Debra Raymond.

The funeral service will be held at the Free Funeral Home, on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 1:00pm with Pastor Steve Young officiating. Family and friends will be received at 11:30 until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Fresno.
