Edna McIntosh Obituary

Edna Mae McIntosh, 88, of Wheeling, WV, peacefully passed away in her sleep on Sunday, December 19, 2021.

She was born on May 30, 1933 in Conesville, OH to the late Edgar and Lucille (Bell) Worthington.

Edna graduated as Salutatorian from Conesville High School in 1951. She worked in the Coshocton Agriculture Office before marrying her loving husband, Jim on April 14, 1957 at the Conesville United Methodist Church where she had been a lifelong member. Edna was a very loving and devoted wife, daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was very close to her daughter Beth and granddaughter Sarah. She was proud to be a long-time member of The Green Valley Garden Club. She would express to family, “The happiest day of my life was the day I married Jim.”

Edna was survived by her children Mark (Betty Ann) McIntosh of Wheeling, WV and Beth McIntosh of Zanesville, OH, grandchildren Mark McIntosh of Findlay, OH, Rachel McIntosh of Mobile, AL, Robert, Emily McIntosh and Olivia (McIntosh) Duhe of Wheeling, WV, Sarah (Luis) Gayton of Sacramento, CA, great-grandchildren Josephine and Evren Duhe of Wheeling, WV, sister-in-law Zoe Worthington of Conesville, OH, Mary Melrose of Warsaw, OH her dear nieces and nephews, and many dear cousins;

She is preceded in death by her husband James, parents, brother Ray Worthington, and four grandchildren.

There will be a Graveside Service held at 2:30pm on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at South Lawn Cemetery.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Conesville United Methodist Church at 196 State Street, Conesville, OH 43811.
