Geraldine A. Ames

Geraldine Adel Ames age 91 of Fresno, Ohio passed away  Friday March 23, 2018 at the Coshocton Springs Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday March 29, 2018 at the Free Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Granger officiating.  Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Thursday.  Burial will be at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.

 Geraldine was born August 28, 1926 in Coshocton County and was the daughter of Euell and Helen (Renfrew) Miller.  On October 30, 1948 she married Dale W. Ames and he preceded her in death on March 24, 2013.  Geraldine first worked at Pope Gosser in Coshocton and after marriage they moved to a dairy farm where she kept busy with farm chores and housework.  Her main hobbies were gardening, sewing and hunting for mushrooms in the spring.

Surviving are a son Edward L. (Karen) Ames of Fresno, Ohio; 2 grandsons Eric (Josie) Sellers of Fresno, Ohio and Nathen (Allison) Sellers of Toronto, Ohio; 4 great grandchildren; one sister Wanda (Jim) Fisher of Coshocton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by one sister Pasty Bernhart and four brothers Earl, Warren, Danny and Euell Jr.

  Memorial contributions can be made to Community Hospice or Gideons.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
