Lizzie Blankenship-Pruitt Obituary

Lizzie (Bradford-Pruitt) Blankenship, 72, of Coshocton passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones on November 8, 2021.

On June 29, 1949, she was born to the late Jiles and Mildred Louise (Newman) Bradford in Austin, Texas.

Lizzie married Lonnie Curtis Pruitt on January 9, 1970. Sadly, December 7, 1995, Lonnie passed away.  

She is survived by her children Emery (Dorothy) Rice of Texas, Lisa Timmons of Coshocton, Nita (Henry) Taylor of Texas, Sheila (Harland) Albro of Texas, Barbara (Tim) Lindell of Coshocton, Curtis Pruitt of Columbus, 1 step-daughter Johnnie Pruitt of Texas, and 1 sister Nettie (Kenneth) Guthrie of Texas. Lizzie also had 52 grandchildren, 102 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Hattie Opela, 3 step-daughters Barbara Ruthledge, Kathy Falkenburg, and Connie Pruett, 3 step-sons Jimmy Pruitt Sr., Lonnie Pruitt Sr., and David Pruitt Sr., 2 step grandsons Jimmy Pruitt Jr., and Lonnie Pruitt Jr., 1 granddaughter Ruth Pruitt and 1 grandson Christopher Lindell.

A cremation will take place with no services held at this time. Free Funeral Home is assisting the family.
