Martha Miller Obituary

COSHOCTON:  Martha E Miller, 97 of Coshocton went home to be with her Lord Saturday, December 26, 2020.  Mrs. Miller passed away at Lafayette Pointe in West Lafayette, Ohio.

Born December 14, 1923, in Cambridge, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Odessa (Bryan) Ellwood.

On November 3, 1942 she married Kenneth E. Miller who preceded her in death August 13, 2003.

Mrs. Miller and her husband owned the former Miller Sohio service station at 11th and Chestnut Streets.  For twenty years, she was by her husband’s side helping him at the service station.

She attended Victory Baptist Church and she and her husband were active participants of the Coshocton County Gideons for many years.

She loved working outside mowing grass and tending to her gardens. Her favorite pastime was playing cards with family and being around the grandchildren.  She faithfully read her Bible and prayed every morning after breakfast.

She is survived by one daughter Beverly J. Sullivan of Coshocton; one son Daniel J. (Debra) Miller of Boardman; 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter Patricia Glass; 4 brothers Dean Ellwood, Lester Ellwood, Arthur Ellwood, Dale Ellwood; 3 sisters Grace Agler, Lela Huston and Ada Bandy.

Private Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Coshocton County Memory Gardens with Pastor Clarence “Sonny” Easterday officiating.

Memoriums may be made to the Gideons International, care of Coshocton County Gideons International, PO Box 531, Coshocton, OH  43812.

The family would like to thank Interim Hospice of Coshocton for their help in the care of Martha.
